“I can’t wait until we move to New York,” Hannah said as she flopped down on Rachel’s bed.

“I know,” her twin agreed excitedly. “It’s going to be fucking awesome.”

“Promise to remember me when you’re a famous model?”

Rachel shrugged. “I don’t know if that’s ever going to happen.”

“Why wouldn’t it?”

“Because I’m not skinny enough. I’m not pretty enough. Alex Carnegie turned me down.”

“Only because he’s like one of the top photographers in New York. You have to start smaller than that, Ray Ray.”

“I don’t want to start small.”

“You’re going to be on the cover of Vogue someday, I know it.” She took her twin’s hand and squeezed. “And I’m going to buy copies for all my friends.”

“I’ll be wearing something you designed,” Rachel said, joining the fantasy. “Every shoot I do will have something of yours in it—it will be in my contract.”

They rolled on the bed to face each other, hands still clasped.

“We’re going to live together, right?” Hannah asked.

“In an industrial loft we totally decorate ourselves.”

“And we’ll have awesome parties with Leo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp.”

Rachel grinned. “And John Cusack.”

“He’s old.”

“So’s Johnny Depp. Besides, you like old guys.”

“Not that many. I like Leo more. Hey, do you think you’ll marry a male model?”

“Nah. I want to marry a normal guy—like a cop or something. Someone who will keep me grounded but doesn’t care that I make more money than him.”

“I want to marry a guy who loves me more than anything. I don’t care about the rest.”

Rachel smiled at her. “Of course he’ll love you, dweeb. Everyone loves you.”

Hannah returned the smile, unsure of herself. “You think so?”

“I know so. Everyone who meets you loves you. It’s a fact. And if he doesn’t love you more than anything, I’ll beat his ass.”

Laughing, Hannah hugged her sister. “I love you more than anything, Sissy.”

“Dweeb,” Rachel replied. But she hugged her back. “I love you too.”
